The beginning…

I studied Computing and began my career as a developer before moving into I.T. Consultancy followed by Product Management. My first start-up was a MBO and I suddenly became a Sales & Marketing Director. There was no-one to ask for advice. After launching the US office and growing revenues to over £1.5M, ‘founder alignment’ became an issue and I decided to move on.

The middle…

After a failed attempt at starting an internet gaming company (thanks Stock Market Crash), I joined forces with 2 others to start Clicktools.

Clicktools was one of the 1st SaaS companies in the UK, the 1st European ISV partner of Salesforce.com and one of the first 25 apps on the AppExchange. Clicktools was bootstrapped to over 50 people with offices in the UK and USA, part-acquired by Survey Monkey before being fully acquired by Callidus (now part of SAP).

Today…

After leaving Callidus, I wanted to provide the help to startup founders that I couldn’t find at the beginning of my journey. As well as providing advice and guidance through Q14, I am a mentor with Antler and Virgin start-ups, and
co-director of StartUp Grind Bournemouth.
