SaaS.

An industry fascinated with ideas, methods and metrics with, unfortunately, much of the content focused on the latter stages of SaaS.

I think there are two main reasons for this. ONE. Most - if not all - of the authors join companies after initial launch and traction so some suggestions may not be applicable. TWO. Most - if not all - authors are focused on Venture backed companies and VC is mainly focused at organisations who are past, or at least well on their way to, traction.

Q14 focuses on helping founders and leadership teams of early stage SaaS companies. To steal from Jason Cohen's blog; Q14 is my style.

Fourteen Questions.

Q14 is, at its simplest, 14 questions that I believe every founder and leadership team of a SaaS business should be able to answer.

Going deeper, the framework also highlights the questions that are most important for each stage and metrics that can be used to most effectively answer the question.

Focusing on the right questions solves 3 major pain points for founders and leadership teams: Maintaining focus, knowing where to improve and team communication.
